This course has no slides of text to read or computer-narrated words. We hate those as much as you do.

Since the course is on-demand, you can start it immediately and move through it at your own pace. This also allows you to come back to it when you have questions, as no one learns everything the first time through.

You can save these materials and refer to them later if you have questions while completing a CSD-1 report.

If you don't measure it, you can't track it. You’ll complete a baseline assessment at the start to see what you know already. Then, at the end, you will take the final evaluation, which covers multiple-choice and short-answer field scenarios.

An instructor manually grades both evaluations. To pass the course and receive a certificate, you must demonstrate competency.

Anytime throughout the course, if you have questions, you can ask the instructor, and they will help you.

No, the course does not provide a copy of the CSD-1 Standard. You need to purchase it online or get a copy from your employer.

Anyone can take the course if you are interested in learning about the CSD-1 Standard.

However, the course focuses on contractors and service technicians who are applying the CSD-1 Standard to new and existing boilers.

Yes absolutely.

Hands-on learning is only one part of the learning process. You need to understand the foundational knowledge first then build upon it with hands-on learning.

For example, you need to understand what the CSD-1 form requirements are before you enter a boiler room.

Then once you are in a boiler room, you will have a foundational level of knowledge to start working from.

You can access it anytime for 180 days after purchase.

If you need an extension, that can be arranged, but the course does not take more than 6 hours to complete.

Yes, part of being a well rounded service technician is understanding why the CSD-1 Standard was made, what its purpose is, and how to apply it.

You do not want to rely on others to tell you how to do something or what is a requirement of the Standard. 

Absolutely, as long as you put in equal effort.

If you never access the course or are distracted during the lessons, you probably will not learn anything.

Learning takes effort. The good news is this learning course has removed all of the effort of research, reading manuals, and trial by fire by putting all the information in an easy to learn format all in one place.

What you do with it is up to you.

As many times as it takes for you to learn the material.

We suggest going through it at least 5x to make sure you master it. Don't expect to learn and retain everything from the course by taking it once.

The time to complete will vary from person to person, but the average time to finish the learning course is 4 hours.
